NR nomination: Two-story brick-veneered duplex with hipped roof, symmetrical facade and paired six-over-one sash windows.

In the 1998 survey, this was deemed a Contributing Building.

2015 Survey Update: This large duplex, prominently sited at the northeast corner of McCauley and Ransom streets is six bays wide and four-pile with a soldier-course watertable and six-over-one wood-sash windows with soldier-course lintels and concrete sills throughout. Entrances are located on each end of the façade and each features a six-light-over-three-panel door sheltered by a front-gabled porch with exposed rafter tails supported by tapered wood posts on brick piers. The façade and side elevations each feature a shed-roofed dormer with paired one-light windows, German-profile weatherboards, knee brackets, and exposed rafter tails. There are two interior brick chimneys and a two-story, hip-roofed rear porch supported by square posts with a beadboard knee wall with screens above. The porch shelters nine-light-over-three-panel doors at both the first- and second-floor levels. An exterior stair accesses the second-floor porch. A low stone wall extends across the front of the property.

GARAGE
1932
One-story, hip-roofed brick garage is located at the rear of the building and accessed via Ransom Street. It is connected to the garage of the neighboring building at 219 Ransom. The three-bay garage has brick walls separating the open bays. In the 1998 survey, this was deemed a Contributing Building.
